In El Salvador the gangs don't get any bigger than Mara Salvatrucha or MS 13.
Considered by the Americans to be 'the most dangerous gang in the world' MS 13 has 100,000 members spread across 33 North American states & throughout Central America, this gang is responsible for murders, extortion, rape, drugs & arms smuggling.
The gang originated among Salvadoran immigrants living in Los Angeles & Orange County.
