What we got in this film is nothing but continuously bombarded propaganda to boast and claim the utopia of communism. the so-called 'mr. cinema' is just a stereotyped moron who blindly and faithfully believed, trusted, and held onto the communist china's dogma, a perfect model of the die-hard communism believer. this movie was obviously funded by certain people in the mainland china and hongkong, they have invested an braindead, no box office assured self-praise movie to pay respect to beijing to show that the ever since the regime change in china, there were many many hongkong people who from the very very beginning believed in Chinese communism and always loyal to the Chinese communist government. these people have been faithfully carried out the dogma, the agenda what a loyal Chinese communist should do, and he is so kind, so generous to other Chinese colleague and neighbors; he would donate two months of his meager annual income to help the communist party achieve certain goal required by the communist party and the government. he's a Chinese Gandhi, a male mother Teresa lived in hongkong slum and adore his ghetto like a paradise. by making such arse-kissing movie, it sure will make beijing very happy and these movie investors and movie makers would definitely get appreciation from the Chinese government and thus assure of getting certain privileges whenever business opportunity arises. what we saw in this movie was the guy who played the 'mr. cinema' role, always put his ideological big words in his talk. it's sickening to see and to hear a guy never stops babbling about the greatness of the socialism and communism and their foolish slogans. and i just couldn't believe in the 21st century, honkong and china joint-venture movie investors would still shamelessly make a ideologically inflated disgusting movie like this one. yes, my wife and i were both disgusted by this pretentious movie to the extreme. and would like to warn all the movie lovers who are neutral or immune to political issues not to take a unhealthy chance in this movie. this is not a real movie but a disguised propaganda. i just did a new research on this movie, here's what i've found out: this movie was specifically made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of hongkong's return to the embrace of communist china. so now what i've said above should give you a clearer picture of what's it really about.
